Clubs and Societies
Classics Club meets every Wednesday lunchtime in Room 5. There are presentations on a wide range of topics including mythology, art, warfare, theatre and much more. Come and bring your packed lunch! All years welcome.
Chess Club All pupils are welcome to attend the lunchtime club (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday). Those who aspire to play chess for the school are encouraged to also attend on Wednesday after school from 3.30 to 5.00 p.m. In all cases the meetings are in F12 in the Maths Department, and further information can be obtained from Dr Cooper: (email@example.com)

Maths Challenge Club This club is for anyone in years 8 - 13 who enjoys the challenge of tough maths problems to solve. The club takes place on Wednesday lunchtimes in F12.
Mandarin Club has started again on Wednesdays after school in Room 14.
Debate Club runs every Thursday lunchtime in Room 16. Please see Dr McClure with any questions.
Wilson’s Literary Society The Wilson’s Literary Society is for students who plan to study English at university; it meets once a week in the English Department, usually to undertake close critical analysis of poems and other literary texts. Visit the web site
HOTT Club* takes place every Friday (this will include the last day of term if we have lunchtime on that day) in room 5 during the lunch hour. (*Hordes Of The Things)
Drawing Skills Club The sessions run every Monday in the Art Department from 4 to 6pm and provide an opportunity for all A Level and some GCSE Art students to improve their observational and drawing skills. These are more challenging drawing sessions which greatly contribute to the quality and diversity of students’ portfolio when it comes to university applications.
