Supporting Wilson's

Wilson’s has a rich and resonant history. Throughout its four hundred year existence its custodians have been characterised by a willingness to make bold, far-sighted decisions to secure the School’s future and to ensure its prosperity.

The School’s vision is to offer its students a transformational educational experience and, in time, to extend this provision to an even greater number of able boys from disadvantaged backgrounds. To deliver this vision and to develop the range of teaching and learning facilities that students and staff can access, significant philanthropic income is essential. The current economic climate and the recent additional pressures on maintained school budgets have placed an even greater imperative on the identification and establishment of sustainable funding streams.

Responding to this requirement, the School has recently appointed an experienced fundraiser, Tim Edge, as its Director of Development (photo). Tim has spent the last 18 years in senior fundraising roles within the independent and maintained school sectors. This appointment has been made possible by the benevolence of an Old Wilsonian, grateful for the impact the school had on his life chances.

It is intended that this section of our website will be both dynamic and interactive. Tim’s plans for enhanced capital and revenue funding will appear here once they are complete, with a detailed breakdown of the various fundraising projects and how you might choose to support them.

In the interim, Tim would be delighted to chat to any member of the wider Wilson’s community about his work and his plans to support the future development of the School.

Please email Tim on te@wilsonsschool.sutton.sch.uk or phone him on 0208 773 2931 (Ext 168).
