The Enrichment Curriculum is designed to:

  • support students' personal development
  • build on prior experiences to add breadth
  • provide them with ‘memorable experiences’ and skills that will be useful after they have left Wilson’s

    Year 10

    • British musical influences
    • Higher Project
    • Global Political Issues
    • Cookery (& healthy eating)*

    Enrichment changeover dates are the weeks commencing 18th November, 3rd February and 27th April.
    *The plan is to reintroduce First Aid and Computing in 2020-21. Both units were delivered to Year 9 in 2018-19.

    Timetabled Curriculum 2019-20


    Year 7

    This introductory unit focuses on developing students’ cookery skills, ensuring they are aware of how diet choices can aid a healthy lifestyle.

    Year 8

    Building on the skills they acquired in Year 7, students tackle more complex recipes with growing independence and a strong focus on healthy eating.

    Year 10

    Cookery in Year 10 is part of the enrichment curriculum.  Students learn how to make a range of meals using healthy ingredients more independently.
