An opening stand of 125 from Ansh (75) and Artharva (60 not out) help set up a total of 152 off 25 overs in their U15A Nat West County Cup match against King's College School. In reply Wilson's put on a great fielding performance and bowled a disciplined line and length to keep the pressure on the KCS batsmen. Unfortunately, Wilson's lost in the last over with their top batsman scoring 108 not out to win the match by 6 wickets.
Against, City of London Freemen's School, Wilson's U15A batted first and scored 136 for 6 off 20 overs with Artharva retiring on 50. Despite taking 8 wickets and City of London winning in 18 overs it was a match Wilson's should have won. Some interesting field placings and over attacking when City of London were behind the run rate made it easy for the batsmen to pass the Wilson's total. On reflection, it was a good learning curve for the Wilson's bowlers to set fields to defend larger totals.
Another excellent performance by our U13As (photo below) beating City of London Freemen's School by 105 runs. Wilson's batted first and scored 146 for 3 off 20 overs with Rayaan top scoring with 52 not out and Saisurya 36. City of London were bowled out for 41 by excellent bowling spells from Umair (2 wickets), Ieuan (2 wickets), Neil (2 wickets) and Ravith (3 wickets for 9 runs).
In the U12A match against City of London Freemen's School, Wilson's scored 112 for 7 off 20 overs. Tejas (21 runs off 21 balls) and Parth (18 off 32) were the standout batters. In reply City of London passed the Wilson's total in 16 overs winning by two wickets. Untidy fielding and too many extras were the main factors in their defeat.
