A HOBBY OF MINE
Posted on:

This week Physics Teacher Miss Jones discusses one of her hobbies: crocheting. Miss Jones took up crocheting over lockdown and has since made a few stuffed animals.

My very first project was a wonky lobster (pictured below). I'm currently working on a pug which is one of my favourite breeds of dog and a small Ron Weasley, however his hair is quite difficult so I am feeling a little defeated!

Why do you enjoy it?
It's very relaxing and as someone who is not very artistic it's nice to be given a very prescriptive step by step guide on how to create something aesthetically pleasing.

How easy was it to get started?
It's very simple to pick up. I watched a handful of YouTube videos and that was it. Also it is much quicker to do than other crafts such as knitting which means you can create objects in a small amount of time. Excellent for me as I am very impatient.
