HOUSE COMPETITION
Posted on: | Category:

The “Candlelight Soirée” has become a staple of the Wilson’s Drama Calendar since 2011 when Mr Kavanagh joined the school. It is designed to celebrate the first term of work by Year 7 pupils, showcasing some of the highest achieving and hardest working students.

The Drama Code of Conduct outlines that whilst talent is rewarded and nourished at Wilson’s, it is not the only essential component for success. Hard work, determination, flair and development of the key skills are the cornerstones of Drama at Wilson’s. The evening involved a selection of monologues and soliloquies from Year 7 pupils as they begin their in-depth study of Shakespeare in Performance and Shakespeare’s Verse this year.

The Soirée is also a house competition, and we are delighted that the following were awarded points for their house on the basis of their excellent performances:

1st - Tanush 7G – 100 points 2nd - Sri 7S – 80 points 3rd - Mikun 7G – 60 points 4th - Eyad 7D – 40 points 5th - Hardik 7S – 20 points 6th - Christian 7S – 10 points

All other participants were awarded 5 points for taking part.
