We have received the following message from the team at Purley Food Hub:

“Thank you very much indeed for the donations from the January food collection at Wilson’s. We are most grateful for the school’s continued support, especially at this difficult time for so many.

At the Food Hub we provide three-day emergency food parcels to local families in crisis, and this month we have passed 290,000 meals for over 30,000 people since we opened exactly 10 years ago in January 2013.

And it is directly through the fantastic support we receive from schools like Wilson’s, as well as churches, community organisations, businesses and many individuals and families, that—together—we can make a real difference to clients and their families currently facing real hardship.

In the words of Trevor Jones, our Chair of Trustees, it means that with such support we will continue to be here for local people in crisis for as long as we are needed.”
