All pupils have received a very warm welcome back to school this week – amid very warm temperatures! We were delighted to see new Year 7 faces on Wednesday as they enjoyed the usual induction activities around school, met their two form tutors, and started to learn a little more about each other. Head of Year 7, Mr Ironside, has described the year group as ‘spirited’ and ‘friendly’, which bodes well!

It was a pleasure to see older pupils return too, probably unaware of the vast amounts of work that has gone on behind the scenes over summer to advance the school's IT infrastructure, upgrade various heating and electrical systems and install double glazing throughout the oldest buildings. Thank you to all those members of support and administrative staff who worked so hard over the summer break to keep this work on track.
