WILSON'S VS WILSON'S FOR THE SOUTHEAST CHAMPIONSHIP!
Posted on: | Category:

All four of our badminton squads entered in the School Sports Magazine Nationals (U14A, U14B, U16A, U16B) have now reached the quarter final stage of the competition.

Unfortunately, we have now got to the round where our A teams face off against our B teams in each age group. The winner, deemed the Southeast champions, will then move onto the semi-finals, to play the Southwest champions. This will be the second year running that we have become Southeast champions in the U14 category.

In the other National competition, hosted by Badminton England, our U16s were successful in the local round, and will now face Dulwich College in March to have a slot in the regional round. Our U14 team are due to host the county round at the start of February. We look forward to welcoming schools from around Surrey in what should be an exciting contest!

Finally, Badminton training amongst all age groups remain strong. Mr Molyneux is particularly impressed with the commitment and improvement of the Year Seven squad. Most students have now joined local clubs and are showing great improvements in their skills.
