Player of the Week

In front of England footballing legend Teddy Sheringham (banner photo, top), Bilal (Year Seven) was outstanding at wing back for the U12B’s. Chris (Year Thirteen) was faultless in his handling and kicking for the 1st XI and got his reward with a precious clean sheet. It was a good week for the goalkeeping union with Ved (Year Ten) and Aditya (Year Twelve) also making some excellent saves for the U15As and 2nd XI.

The two players of the week are Bruno (Year Twelve) and Freddie (Year Thirteen), who were outstanding for the 1st XI in their win against Brentwood. Bruno’s wand of a left foot scored two great goals while Freddie finished off with a goal and two assists.

Team of the Week

Brentwood always provide some of our toughest games, so for the U12’s to go away from home and win is a fantastic effort. They did it thanks to a last-minute winner from Olivier (Year Seven). The 3rd XI had a super week winning both their games scoring ten goals with Anthony (Year Eleven) and Jonathan (Year Eleven) amongst the goal scorers.

Another team to win both games are the 1st XI: first, they beat John Fisher 4-0 in the Sutton Cup on Wednesday. It then got better on Saturday with an outstanding team display, beating one of the best school teams in the country in Brentwood 4-1. It was a selfless, hardworking and high-quality display from all the players.
