Some of the newest members of the school CCF enjoyed the final element of their Basic Fieldcraft Training last weekend. The mild October weather only added to their enjoyment of the training!
Cadets attended the one day Exercise Alexander at Mereworth Woods Training Area, where they were trained in and practised section and platoon level ambushes. The exercise also gave a final opportunity for those recently promoted to Sergeant to prepare and deliver a set of orders in the field. All concerned rose to the challenge, with first 4 Platoon and then 5 Platoon carrying out successful blank firing ambushes, under the guidance of Exercise Conducting Officer Major Grant and his team of Cadet Force Adult Volunteers.
Congratulations to all our cadets on completing their Basic Fieldcraft Training!
