To commemorate the late Air Chief Marshal Sir John Thomson GCB CBE, the Royal Air Squadron presented the CCF (RAF) with a sword to be awarded annually to the most outstanding RAF cadet in the UK. The winner of this honour then goes on to represent the RAFAC at high profile events.
This year, our Cadet Warrant Officer (CWO) Jerome (Year Thirteen—banner photo, top) has been nominated by RAFAC LaSEr (London and South East Region) to be the cadet to represent the entire region. This is a huge achievement as there are over 3000 cadets in this region.
He is now one of only six cadets in the UK under consideration for the award and will join the others at the national interview stage in May-June 2024 to be held at RAFC Cranwell.
We all wish Jerome the best of luck in this challenging process and congratulate him for this outstanding achievement.
A Luck, Flt Lt, OC Wilson’s School CCF (RAF)
