Wilson's School

British Parliamentary Debating Tournament

Wilson’s ended the year with an excellent performance in the Team England British Parliamentary Debating Tournament with two Year 12 students — Ethan and Zach — reaching the grand final of the competition.

Pavamaan – also in Year 12 – and Yusuf of Year 10 also progressed, making the state school only final, with the former making his debut in competitive debating while the latter was in his first in-person competition.

Kaan, Isaac, Anirudha and Aariv (all Year 9), also made their debuts in competitive debating, representing the school with pride as some of the youngest students at the tournament.

It marked the beginning of a new era for debating at Wilson’s with Evan, Vedang, Daniel, Minhyuk, Anubhav, Parth and Jack having said goodbye to us as Year 13 leavers earlier this term, leaving behind an important legacy to set up an exciting future.
