1615 Club membership continues to grow
Since its recent launch, The 1615 Club has seen its membership grow with alumni and parents taking the opportunity to support the school and join our newest community.
It has been great to hear the different reasons why OWs of different ages have decided to join The 1615 Club.
Aaron Porter (OW 2003) - a Non-Executive Director in the higher education, health and legal sectors - said the main reason he was supporting the school was, “to ensure it can continue to provide a high quality extra-curricular, sport and music offer to pupils.”
Glenn Barber (OW 2005) - Director of Corporate Affairs at SSE plc and a former Deputy Head Boy - said, "Wilson's opened up a world of opportunity for me and I'm pleased to be able to make a small contribution to the ongoing work of the school so that the next generation of students can benefit as I did."
Rishi Raval (OW 2019) - a Trainee Associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP - said, "the resilience and work ethic that's helped me progress professionally stems from the lunchtime clubs and classrooms of Wilson's - donating ensures the next generation of Wilsonians may benefit in the same way."
Andrew Street (OW 2002) - a Partner at BCLP who generously hosted our most recent City & Law Networking Event - commented:
The reason I have decided to join the 1615 Club is that I owe a huge amount to the education I received at Wilson’s School, which gave me the best possible platform in my professional career and beyond.
I want to do my bit to help support the next generation of students at the School.
Many of my happiest memories at Wilson’s involved non-curricular activities - whether playing football or learning musical instruments.
I hope that the 1615 Club can help other students continue to enjoy those passions of mine!
We look forward to welcoming more Old Wilsonians to The 1615 Club in the coming months!
