The Cricket Season Begins

The cricket season has started early for the U13A and U13B teams.

On Tuesday 4 February, both teams played in a 6-a-side cricket tournament organised by Sutton Sports Partnership and were hosted by Wallington County Grammar School. Other schools invited, along with Wallington County Grammar, were John Fisher, Carshalton Boys' Sports College and Greenshaw.

Both Wilson's teams performed well, but it was the U13As that reached the final. The U13B team were unlucky not to reach the final as they lost by 1 run to Wallington County Grammar and by 1 wicket to Carshalton Boys' Sports College. In the final, Wilsons U13As played Carshalton Boys' Sports College. Wilson's batted first and reached a total of 44 off their 6 overs. Carshalton's reply was positive and put our fielders under pressure with some excellent running between the wickets. This made light work of our score with Carshalton playing well and winning with an over to spare.

This was good experience for the Wilson's teams and an enjoyable game, and will help with their skills during the cricket season.
