Team Reports

Wilson’s U15B won the toss and elected to field first. Harris made a strong start, with their openers taking advantage of some wayward bowling and lapses in the field. Despite tightening things up later in the innings, Harris posted a competitive total of 109 for 7 from their 20 overs.

In response, Wilson’s produced a dominant batting display. Openers Parth (46*) and Avyukth (46*) built a composed and fluent partnership, chasing down the target without loss. Their unbroken stand ensured a commanding 10-wicket victory, highlighting both players’ control and shot selection.

Wilson’s U13A fell to a 40-run defeat against KCS in a frustrating performance on a dry and unpredictable pitch—conditions that, while difficult, were the same for both sides.

Winning the toss, Wilson’s chose to bowl first. Despite moments of promise, the bowling overall was inconsistent, allowing KCS to reach 139 for 9 from their 20 overs. Ashwin was the standout with an excellent spell of 2-8 from his two overs, while Kiaan claimed three wickets, Shon took two, and Olivier and Nimay chipped in with one apiece. However, the fielding let the side down—at times lacklustre and passive—likely costing 15 to 20 extra runs.

Wilson’s U13B won the toss and chose to bowl first against KCS. The team showed excellent energy and effort in the field, with standout bowling from Jai, who delivered a superb spell of 4 for 13 off his 4 overs. KCS were eventually bowled out for 166.

While the boys were enthusiastic in the field, there’s still work to be done, particularly with consistency and focus. Several byes slipped through, highlighting an area for improvement, especially for Seyon behind the stumps.

Chasing a tough target, Wilson’s struggled early on against KCS’s strongest bowlers, losing quick wickets to fall to 25 for 5. Arjun offered some resistance with a gritty 22, but the rest of the batting lacked composure and shot selection. The innings closed on 67 all out.

Wilson’s U13C won the toss and elected to field first. However, a high number of wides and a lack of urgency in the field allowed KCS to build momentum, eventually reaching 124-9 from their 20 overs.

In reply, Wilson’s struggled to show intent with the bat. There was little to no backing up from the non-striker, and opportunities to take singles—especially when the ball went down to third man—were regularly missed. Remarkably, the team did not run a two during the entire innings, which made chasing the total all the more difficult.

Despite this, we reached 99-9 by the end of our 20 overs—falling 25 runs short of the target. A disappointing batting effort, particularly given the chaseable nature of the total. Greater urgency and smarter running between the wickets will be key areas of focus going forward.

Wilson’s U13D secured a convincing 58-run win over KCS in a strong all-round performance.

After winning the toss, Wilson’s elected to bat and posted an impressive total of 163 for 7. Kalash (33 off 22) and Arjun (31 off 28) both retired after fluent knocks that provided the backbone of the innings, with valuable contributions throughout the order.

In reply, KCS struggled to build any momentum with the bat, managing just 33 runs off the bat—the rest of their total of 105 for 6 came from extras. Wilson’s standout bowling came from Kalash (1-2) and Aryan (2-6), helping to keep the pressure on.

Wilson’s U13A won the toss and elected to bat first on what appeared to be a decent enough wicket. However, our batting approach was overly cautious, with too few players looking to rotate the strike or accelerate the run rate. Kian was the standout batter, scoring a run-a-ball 22 and showing the necessary intent to score. A final total of 77 from 20 overs was always going to be difficult to defend, especially against a side like Whitgift.

With the ball, we actually put in a respectable performance. I had expected Whitgift to reach the target much more quickly, but our bowlers stuck to their plans well. Their openers demonstrated how to push singles and keep the scoreboard ticking – a lesson for our own batters. Kian was again the pick of the players, finishing with figures of 4-0-12-2.

Wilson’s U13B won the toss and chose to bat first against Carshalton Boys. Openers Seyon and Nilavan navigated the new ball carefully, providing a steady start, albeit at a modest run rate. The innings gained real momentum when Diaab came in at number 3, playing an outstanding knock of 46 from just 23 balls. His aggressive intent helped push the team total to a strong 146.

In response, Wilson’s were outstanding with the ball. The bowling duties were well shared across the team, with every bowler contributing and each claiming at least one wicket. The standout performance came from Jai, who tore through the opposition with remarkable figures, taking 5 wickets. Carshalton Boys were bowled out for just 36 runs.

Wilson’s U12B faced Fisher in a spirited encounter. After losing the toss, Fisher elected to bat first. Our bowlers responded brilliantly, with wickets shared evenly across the attack. Ralph stood out once again with the new ball, setting the tone early and keeping the pressure on.

The team’s disciplined bowling effort saw Fisher dismissed for just 28 runs.

The target was chased down comfortably with the loss of just one wicket. Shrihaan anchored the innings and finished unbeaten on 20*, showcasing excellent shot selection and composure.

A dominant performance all around, with contributions from the whole squad.
