Cricket Update #1 - Taking on MCC!

Team Reports
1st XI
MCC won the toss and elected to bat. A good performance in the field along with some excellent bowling restricted the MCC to 220 for 6 off 44 overs with Aarush taking 3 for 47. In reply, the Wilson’s openers batted well until the tea interval. An extended break due to rain made it difficult for the Wilson’s batters to chase down the MCC target but managed to hang on for a draw losing 9 wickets.
U13A
Wilson’s batted first and posted an impressive score of 188 for 5 off 20 overs. Strong batting from Zakariya (50 off 33), Kian (4 off 13), and Darsh (29 off 20). In reply, Cumnor never really looked like chasing down Wilson’s score. Pick of the bowlers was Owais (21 for 15).
U12A
Wilson’s lost the toss and were put into bat. On a rain-affected, slow wicket, Wilson’s were restricted to 90 all out in 15 overs. Only powerful batting from Will (28) and Arjun (25) showed any resistance. In reply, Lingfield lost early wickets with Morishwar taking 6 wickets for 9 runs halting any chance of Lingfield winning. Wilson’s went on to win by 14 runs.
U17A
Wilson’s won the toss and elected to bat and got to a good total of 172 for 8, considering the pitch was still damp from overnight rain. Openers Adhrit (26) and Ved (27), along with Ritvik in the middle order, helped Wilson’s post a competitive score. In reply, Wilson’s bowlers bowled too many extras, along with an inconsistent line and length, which helped the opposition batters chase down the score without much pressure. Lords Wandsworth passed the Wilson’s total in the 30th over losing only 4 wickets.
U14A
Wilson’s won the toss and chose to field. Bowling and fielding were not up to the high standards, and helped Tiffin reach 128 for 5 off 20 overs. Olly was the most economical (15 off 4 overs). In reply, the Wilson’s batters seemed to lose concentration and were restricted to 113 for 8 off their 20 overs. Only Olly stood out with the bat, scoring 37 off 30 balls.
U15A
Wilson’s lost the toss and were put into bat. Some tentative striking on a slow wicket saw only 45 runs in the first 10 overs. Raghav (26) was the pick of the batters saw Wilson’s post a total of 105 for 8 from 20 overs. In reply, Wallington Grammar were too strong on the day finishing on 106 for 3 in 15 overs winning by 7 wickets.
