Cricket Update #4


Team Reports

U15A – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to field. Steady bowling contained Carshalton Boys to a total of 85 for 3 in their 20 overs. Akshon was the pick of the bowlers with 2 for 23. In reply, the Wilson’s batters made light work of the Carshalton Boys total winning in the 10th over by 9 wickets. Viraaj (27) and Raghav (32) were the standout batters.

U13B – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to field. John Fisher set a target of 137, this was mainly due to poor fielding and dropped catches. Pick of the bowlers were Arjun and Rapheal who both took three wickets. In reply, Wilson’s lost three early wickets but recovered with Arjun (33) and Nilavan (38)  helped Wilson’s to victory by 4 wickets.  

U13C – Wilson’s lost the toss and were asked to bat. Wilson’s made a competitive score of 152 for 7 off their 20 overs with Sameer (41) the top scorer. In reply, Reigate made relatively easy work of the Wilson’s total and winning in the 18th over by 7 wickets.

U13D – Wilson’s lost the toss and were put into bat. Nivan struck the ball powerfully and top-scored with 30. Gowtam and Kalash both scored 14 to help, along with extras, to a total of 142 for 6 off 20 overs. In reply, the Wilson bowlers, bowled a more consistent line and length and were rewarded by restricting Reigate to 109 for 6 off 20 overs. Nandakee (2 for 8) and Arjun (2 for 12) were the pick of the bowlers   

1st XI – Wilson’s lost the toss and were asked to bat against Ewell Castle.  Losing two early wickets saw the middle order of Year 10s Ragav (21), Virag (22) and Tejas (15) helped post a total of 118 in 20 overs. In reply the Wilson’s bowlers kept Ewell Castle behind the run rate and put pressure on the batters. Two of our Year 9 players took 5 wickets, Olly (3 for 7) and Vidur (2 for 15) saw Ewell Castle finish on 85 for 7, losing by 16 runs.   

U14A – Wilson’s won the toss and put Kingston Grammar into bat. After 9 overs Wilson’s had them 26 for 6 but lost focus in the field and allowed them to make a total of 84. The Wilson’s batters struggled to take advantage of the Kingston bowlers but eventually won the game in the 19th over.

U14B – Wilson’s lost the toss and were put into bat. Aditya (59) batted superbly and was supported by Arnav (20), helping Wilson’s reach a total of 155 for 2 off 20 overs.  In reply, Hardik and Madhavraj were the standout bowlers and saw Wilson’s win by 38 runs.

U12A – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to bat against Trinity. After losing two early wickets a partnership of 96 from Arjun (39 from 41 balls) and Will (62 from 61 balls) helped reach a competitive score of 140 off 20 overs. In reply, the Wilson’s bowlers bowled a disciplined line and length, Leo (4 for 13), Reyansh (4 overs, 1 for 10), Morishwar (4 overs, 2 for 17), Arjun (2 for 9), and Will (2 for 8). Trinity batters had no answer to the Wilson’s bowlers and ended on 98 for 8.

U12B – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to bat. Vivan, Mesesh, and Ranvir all played well and set King’s College a total of 135. In reply, Arnav, Ralph, Vayun, and Rahavan all took two wickets to help bowl out King’s College for 80.

U12C – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to bat. After a slow start the middle order batted positively to reach a total of 148 for 5, Shiven (20 off 22 balls) and Josh (16 off 7 balls). In reply, King’s College started strongly with their openers dominating the early part of the match. A much improved fielding performance, which included four run outs, saw King’s College all out for 124. (PHOTO ATTACHED)

U12D – Wilson’s lost the toss and were asked to field. KCS scored 115 for 9 off 20 overs. Outstanding bowling from Akshat (5 for 9) was the pick of the bowlers. In reply, the Wilson’s batters batted slowly which put them behind the run rate and finished on 106 for 7 off their 20 overs.

U15A – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to field against Ewell Castle. Wickets shared amongst the Wilson’s bowlers, with Parth having the best figures of 3 for 7. In reply, Wilson’s lost a couple of early wickets but recovered with Tejas (29), Sam (22), and Anshul (17). Wilson’s completed the win in the 16th over, winning by 5 wickets.

U14B – Wilson’s lost the toss and were asked to bat. Wilson’s batted positively and finished on 159 for 6 with Madhav (27 off 28 balls) and Hardik (36 off 29 balls) being the pick of the batters. Inconsistent bowling and fielding helped the Ewell batters chase down a high score, and they won by two wickets in the 20th over.

U12B – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to bat. Good batting from Vivaan (56) and Ranvir (52 from 18 balls), Arnav (38), and Vivaan M (38) saw Wilson’s post a total of 262. Wilson’s bowling was too strong for the Ewell Castle batters, and they were bowled out for 20 in the 8th over. Sulloch was the pick of the bowlers, taking three wickets.

U12A – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to bat. Positive batting from Guhan (52) was the standout performance. Ewell Castle’s batters had no reply to the Wilson’s bowlers, with Leo picking up 3 wickets. A superb one-handed diving catch by Arjun really summed up the team’s performance, which ended in Ewell being bowled out for 60.  

U13A – Wilson’s lost the toss and were put into bat. Wilson’s scored 133 for 7 off 20 overs. Shon (51 off 42 balls) and Olivier (19 off 18 balls) were the standout batters. In reply, the Ewell batters fell quickly behind the run rate, Nimay (3 for 6) was the prime wicket taker. Two wickets from Devam and Ashwin saw Ewell finish on 123 for 6 after 20 overs.
