Football Update #13

Player of the Week

Myles made it 16 goals for the season for the 1st XI with a double against Wimbledon College. One an instinctive finish and the other a well-placed free kick. Jacob has been a revelation for the 1st XI since moving back to sweeper. He produced two scintillating displays against Wimbledon College and Lancing College. There were hattricks galore on Saturday with Ethan (Year 8), Alasdair (Year 8), Jaival (Year 8), Mattias (Year 7) and Luvin (Year 7) all getting one. Player of the week is Tom (Year 13) who scored a first half hat trick for the 1st XI on Saturday. He has moved from left back to attacking midfield and is in stunning goalscoring form.

Team of the Week

Despite the awful weather this week all games were played on Saturday and what a first game day of 2026 it was! The U12C and U12D teams showed excellent team play to score a combined fifteen goals. The Year 8’s won three games out of three on against St John’s with three polished displays. Team of the week is the 1st XI who won both of their games and came away with two clean sheets. Their excellent run continues winning fourteen out of their last sixteen games.
