Player of the Week

It was a super afternoon of Friday football for the Year 7s at City Of London. Akshat (Year 7) was a rock for the U12As in their good win. There were goals galore in the games with Salesian College, Kiaan (Year 9) and Niven (Year 7) both got themselves the match ball with hat-tricks. Year 10 goalscorer Joel made his debut for the 1st XI and was excellent against older pupils.

Houting (Year 12) has worked hard at his game the last two years, and he got his reward with a classy finish for the Year 12s to earn himself Player of the Week.

Team of the Week

The U14B’s and U12C’s gave everything to produce two good team displays in their games. The U13A’s National cup dream continues as they beat Riddlesdown 3-1 to move into the last sixteen.

Team of the Week are the U12B’s who had a great weekend - they won two games in two days, scoring ten goals in the process.

Wilson’s U13B 6 vs 0 St John’s School

Wilson’s U13B produced a commanding and clinical performance to secure a resounding 6–0 victory over St John’s School, Leatherhead U13B, in a match that showcased the team’s skill, cohesion, and attacking prowess.

From the very first whistle, Wilson’s set the tone of the game, controlling possession and moving the ball effectively across the pitch. The team’s quick passing and intelligent positioning consistently put the opposition under pressure, creating several early scoring opportunities. Despite the strong start, it took a few chances to break the deadlock. By half-time, Wilson’s had established a 2–0 lead, demonstrating their dominance both in attack and in defence. The first half goals came from well-worked moves.

The second half saw Wilson’s increase the intensity even further. The team came out with renewed energy and determination, and the game quickly tilted completely in their favour. The attacking trio of Ethan, Hudson, and Arjun were particularly impressive. Ethan's clinical finishing and well-timed runs earned him a hat-trick. Hudson added two goals, showcasing excellent movement and awareness in the box, while Arjun dominated the midfield. 

In conclusion, Wilson’s U13B delivered an outstanding all-round performance to produce a 6–0 victory. The match highlighted the individual talents of key players, but more importantly, it showed the strength of the team. This result will give the players plenty of confidence going into their upcoming fixtures.
