GCSE results break school records

We are proud of what every single student achieves at Wilson's, but it was a particular pleasure this week to see so many Year 11 pupils and parents delighted by their GCSE outcomes.

With 97.3% Grades 7-9 and 63.5% Grade 9s, these are excellent results for the year group (as well as the strongest ever GCSE results at Wilson's), which translate into life-transforming prospects for individual students. Students have worked very hard over the past five years, starting their secondary school careers in the aftermath of Covid-19, and richly deserve their success.

As always on results days, we reflect on the personal development of students just as much as their academic achievements. This year group has inspired particular affection from their teachers over the years, with a reputation as a highly diligent and good-natured cohort. Their participation in the wider life of the school has also been outstanding and bodes very well for the leadership opportunities ahead in the sixth form.

Whatever pathway they follow next, through A levels and beyond, we hope that all students will take a moment to reflect on how far they have travelled and what exciting times lie ahead!
