UK CHESS CHALLENGE
Posted on: | Category:

UK Chess Challenge is a very popular chess tournament which has tens of thousands of entrants. This year two of our pupils have played so well that they have reached the 'Terafinal', featuring only 60 players from the whole country, aged from 5 to

  1. Both our players are in Year 8: Shlok (8B) and Denis (8H). We congratulate them both on this considerable achievement and wish them well as they prepare to play at Blenheim Palace in the October Terafinal.

Chess continues to be very popular with many pupils at Wilson's with over 100 students participating in the Tuesday and Thursday lunchtime chess clubs, now organised by year group. The Year 7 chess tournament taking place on Thursday 30 September already has 47 entrants, but there is space for more. If you are interested please speak to Dr Cooper.
