The winners of our first creative writing contest in French & German have been announced!

The Modern Foreign Languages Department is pleased to announce the winners of their first creative writing contest in French and in German.

The contenders were asked to submit a literary text about any of the following ideas:

  • A story where something unexpected happens.
  • A story about ordinary school life with a twist.
  • A story based on your favourite sport or movie.

The two winners are: Dev (9H1) for French, and Shubhransh (9D2) for German.

The contest was launched during our International Languages Week by Gautham and Egemen from Year 9.

The jury, comprising Mrs Mulcahy, Mr Fletcher and Mrs Barnwell, received texts from different language learning levels. They were very impressed by students’ creativity.
