Team Reports

Some impressive batting from the Wilson’s U15B team saw them score 175 for 3 off their allotted 20 overs. Rutlish in reply scored 31 for 5 off 8 overs before the match was abandoned due to rain.

Wilson’s U13A won the toss and decided to field. Rutlish scored 120 off 20 overs for the loss of only 3 wickets. In reply Wilson’s were all out for 95 in 17.3 overs.

Wilson’s U16A had a comfortable win against Boxhill. On a green and soft wicket, Wilson’s were asked to bat first and scored 118 for 7 off 20 overs with Aarush top scoring with 31. Three outstanding catches from Wilson’s paved the way and restricted Boxhill to 41 all out. Bowling was shared around with Abhi taking 3 wickets.

Wilson’s U15A won the toss and chose the field and restricted Graveney to 61 for 8 off 20 overs. Standout bowlers were Umer, 4 overs for 4 runs and Viabhav, 4 overs, 3 wickets for 7 runs. Wilson’s made light work of the total and scored 62 for 2 off 8 overs.

Epsom College U13A won the toss and elected to bat first. After 10 overs Wilson’s restricted Epsom to 53 for 1. Unfortunately, some wayward bowling saw Epsom reach 144 for 3 off their allotted 20 overs. In reply, Wilson’s were bowled out for 36 after 13 overs.

A very challenging match faced our U12A’s against Epsom College as we knew how strong they were going to be. There was some good bowling from Wilson’s but were punished with a boundary when they bowled a loose delivery. Epsom closed on 166 for 2 off 20 overs. Disciplined bowling from Epsom in the early overs made it very difficult for Wilson’s to score. Only Nilin showed any resistance, scoring 22. Wilson’s ended the innings on 80 all out.

Wilson’s 1st XI fielded first in the National T20 cup match with Eltham College. Our seam bowlers struggled to find their line or length (22 wides) which resulted in Eltham scoring 137 off 20 overs. Spin bowlers Udith (3 overs, 4 wickets for 8 runs) and Ansh (4 overs, 1 wicket for 13 runs) proved to be the most dangerous on this pitch. A positive start from our opening batters saw them put on 92 for the first wicket. Ansh was the first wicket to fall and scored 62 from 39 balls. This was quickly followed by the other opener Udith who supported Ansh and scored 21 from 26 balls. There was still work to be done to reach the Eltham total but good running between the wickets from Arnav and Ahrujan kept the pressure on the opposition and Wilson’s passed Eltham’s score in the 18th over.
