Team Reports

Wednesday 5th July
Wilson’s 1st XI lost the toss and were asked to field against The Forty Club. The Wilson’s opening bowlers bowled a good line and length and were unlucky not to pick up early wickets. After an opening partnership of 83 the introduction of spin kept The Forty Club batters under pressure to score runs quickly. Wickets fell and they ended their innings on 179 for 6 off 40 overs with our spinners Ansh (4 for 45 off 10 overs) and Ammaar (2 for 38 off 6) taking all of The Forty Club wickets. In reply, a captain’s innings by Udith (89 from 83 balls) set up the win for Wilson’s. Losing a few wickets in the middle order left Ansh (28 from 20 balls) to finish off the match.

A great end to the season for the 1st XI winning their last five matches of the season.
