Team Reports

Monday 26 June 2023 Wilson’s U15A won the toss and elected to field. Accurate bowling from the Wilson’s bowlers made it difficult for the Hayes batters to score freely. Leg spin bowler Viabhav (4 for 28) and supported by seam bowler Shivam (3 for 15) contained Hayes to 107 all out in 19 overs. In reply, an early run out put Wilson’s under pressure, and it made Vaibhav (20) to play a watchful innings and support the incoming batters. At 7 wickets down it was Vihaan (14no) with a mature batting performance to see Wilson’s pass the Hayes total.

Tuesday 27 June 2023 Wilson’s U13a won the toss and elected to bat in there 16 over match against Hayes. A positive batting display by the top order produce a score of 142 for 4 with Parth 42 off 28 balls. In reply Hayes found it difficult to score against the accurate bowling of the Wilson’s seamers and were bowled out for 56. Excellent bowling from Atharva was rewarded in taking 5 wickets for 10 runs.

Wilson’s U13b won the toss and chose to bat against Hayes. The Hayes bowlers never really troubled the Wilson’s batters on a bouncy NTP and after 4 retirements finished on 120 off 16 overs. Top score came from Zyaan 25 from 31 balls. The Hayes batters found it difficult to keep up with the run rate and ended their 16 on overs 80 for 8.

Wednesday 28 June 2023 Wilson’s 1st XI lost the toss and were asked to field. On a good batting pitch, the Wilson’s bowlers restricted Old Wilsonians to 125 off 20 overs. Wickets were shared amongst the bowlers but still need to work on a better line and length as they bowled 15 wides in the Hayes innings. An excellent batting performance from Ansh (61 from 44 balls) and Ahrujan (21 from 25 balls) set up the win by 7 wickets and 3 overs to spare.

Thursday 29 June 2023 Wilson’s U14A won the toss and chose to bat against Hayes. Positive batting from Ronik (38 from 27 balls) and Aryaman (29 off 19 balls) helped Wilson’s to a total of 198 for 7. In reply, Hayes never troubled the Wilson’s score and were bowled out for 70 in 16 overs with Ravith taking 5 for 15 off his 4 overs.

Friday 30 June 2023 Wilson’s U12A lost the toss and were asked to bat and scored 117 for 9 off their 20 overs. Excellent batting from Olly (40 off 41 balls), Nillin (20 off 29 balls ) and Chirayu ( 14 off 12 balls) were the main contributors. Langley Parks Batters struggled against a good Wilson’s bowling attack and were bowled out for 68 with Olly taking 3 for 6 in his 4 overs. Langley Park won the toss and elected to bat first against Wilson’s U12B. Accurate bowling from the Wilson’s bowlers restricted Langley Park to 92 for 9 off their 20 overs. Neilay 4 for 11 runs off 3 overs including 3 wickets in one over was the pick of the bowlers. In reply, a comfortable win by 7 wickets in 13 overs for Wilson’s with Rochit top scoring with 15 no.

Saturday 1 July 2023 Wilson’s 1st XI lost the toss and Tiffin’s chose to bat in their 40 over match. After an opening partnership of 56 by the Tiffin’s batters wickets started to fall with the introduction of spin. Ansh (4 for 34) bowled superbly and by the 27th over Tiffin’s were on 104 for 7. A good 7th wicket partnership saw Tiffin’s finish on 177 for 7 off their 40 overs. In reply, Wilson’s batted positively and with a 3rd wicket partnership between Ansh (71 from 59 balls) and Shravan (69 from 74 balls) saw Wilson’s pass the Tiffin’s total in the 33rd over and winning by 7 wickets.

Wilson’s U15A won the toss and put Tiffin’s into bat. Wayward bowling in the early and middle overs saw Tiffin’s openers reach 128 without loss. By the end of the 25th over the Tiffin’s batters went on to score 209 from their 25 overs. In reply the Wilsons batters put up a good effort with Adhrit (88 from 55 balls) almost giving Wilsons the victory. Unfortunately, with the loss of wickets towards the end of the innings saw Wilsons finish on 196 for 9.

Wilson’s U14A won the toss and chose to field. Early wickets from the Wilsons bowlers looked in control of the match. Unfortunately, in the final 7 overs some poor fielding meant Tiffin’s were set a total of 113 for 9 off 20 overs. In reply, Wilson’s batted sensibly and maturely with Rohan (33 off 46 balls) and Rayyan (32 off 20 balls) chased the total down in 16 overs and winning by 7 wickets.

Wilson’s U13A fielded first and came up against a strong Tiffin’s team and scored 171 from their 25 overs. The Wilson’s batters found this total difficult to chase and with some rash shots were bowled out for 58.

Wilson’s 12A lost the toss and Tiffin’s elected to bat. A good bowling and fielding display saw Wilson’s restrict Tiffin’s to 106 for 9 off their 20 overs. Standout bowler was Olly (3 for 8 off 4 overs). A partnership of 102 from Luca (52 from 34 balls) and Olly (41 from 48 balls) almost saw us home. It was down to Nillin to hit the winning run in the 15th over giving Wilson’s the victory by 9 wickets.
