Team Reports

After an unfortunate start to the cricket season with a week of rain, we must begin with a big thank you to Dulwich College for hosting five of our cricket teams.

1st XI
Lost the toss and were asked to bat on what looked like a soft green pitch. Two run outs and a hit wicket saw Wilson’s struggle to get a competitive total and finished on 84 all out. A couple of dropped catches early on and a catch off a no ball made it easy for Dulwich to pass the Wilson’s total and win by 8 wickets.

U16A
Wilson’s won the toss and elected to field. Dulwich got off to a strong start with their opener retiring on 100 and their No. 3 retiring once he reached is half century. Dulwich finished their 30 overs with 217 runs on the board. Wilson’s never really threatened to catch the total set. Diyath top scored with 43 but was not enough and Wilson’s ended 33 runs short.

U14A
A thrilling U14A match with Dulwich scoring 141 without loss (two Dulwich batsmen retired). In reply Rayyan (45) and Saisurya (30) paved the way for the match to end in a tie.

U14A team

U13A
Lost by 9 wickets with Wilson’s only able to manage to score 100 all out. Only Sam (20) and Akshon (15) showed any resilience. In reply Dulwich scored 102 for 1 in 9 overs due to some ill-disciplined bowling.

U12A
Lost the toss and were put into bat scoring 134 for 5 off 20 overs. Quality batting from Olly (50 off 43 balls) was the standout batter. A good commitment in the field from all the boys – Vidur in particular – taking two sharp catches at cover point and Sai taking a high catch at deep square leg. Bowling highlights came from Olly taking 4 wickets for 4 runs off 2 overs and Luca taking 2 wickets for 7 runs off his 2 overs. A mention must go to Tanush, bowling 2 maidens in his 4 over spell. With such a strong performance from Wilson’s, Dulwich were all out for 52!
