Player Of The Week

Kwesi (Yr 12) scored a second half hat-trick for the 1st XI to take his tally to 12 goals in 9 games. Rishi (Yr 7) was excellent for the U12As against Harris, covering very blade of grass. Christopher (Yr 10) and Nazar (Yr 10) were electrifying for the U15As this week, scoring three goals between them. Player of the week is Freddie (Yr 10) who had an outstanding week. On Monday he scored a hat-trick and had three assists for the U15As. On Wednesday he continued that fine form with another two assists for the 1st XI confirming he will play a big part in their season next year.

Team Of The Week

The U12As despite going down 2-0 against Harris put in a much improved performance and were unlucky not to get on the score sheet. The 1st XI finished their impressive half term of football beating Challoner 4-0, they finish off with one goal conceded in their last five games. Team of the week are the U15As who went out in style in their final game before senior football beating Harris 6-0.

Wilson’s U15A 6 VS 0 Harris CP

In our last game together before senior football we started slow, conceding a couple of chances but after a little while the team got into the rhythm of things. The deadlock was broken with Chris scoring a towering header to make it 1-0 from a Freddie corner. The game was even for the remaining half with Harry and Sam particularly impressive keeping Harris out. In the second half we came out quickly, a delightful through ball by Freddie sent Nazar through who scored with a brilliant finish past the keeper. From there on it was all Wilson's. Freddie slotted three goals into the bottom left-hand corner and Chris rose for another header. He was then unfortunate not to make it a hat-trick of headers going narrowly wide at the back post. Wilson's could not add to their tally with both Matthew and Yousif missing when it looked easier to score. The game ended 6-0 to Wilson's and it was a great team performance ending the season perfectly.
