Player Of The Week

There were hat-tricks galore this week with Philo (Year Thirteen), Yusuf (Year Ten), Bentli (Year Nine) and Sohil (Year Eight) all grabbing the match ball in their games. Antony (Year Eleven) on his 1st XI debut was impressive and got his first goal with an instinctive finish. The school’s top scorer was at it again: Joel (Year Eight) helped himself to another four goals in two games to take his total to thirty-seven for the season. Shyamak (Year Ten) was a constant danger to the King Edward’s defence with his excellent delivery and dangerous runs.

Player of the week is Houting (Year Ten) who scored his first ever goal for the school, much to the delight of his teammates. It was a just reward for all his hard work.

Team Of The Week

It was another busy week of football, with some excellent performances. It was “fantastic Friday” with seven Year Seven teams stepping out onto Mollison Drive—over eighty pupils had great fun playing in the sun. There were big wins for the 2nd XI and the U13Bs on Saturday and on the same day the U15Cs remained unbeaten with a comprehensive victory over King Edward’s.

The U13As won two games in two days: in the first game they advanced to the next round of the London Cup. The 1st XI continues its relentless form with another two victories: another clean sheet on Wednesday was their eleventh in twenty-four games and, remarkably, they have only conceded six goals in thirteen home games.

Team of the week are the U14Bs (banner photo, top) who continued their huge improvement with another win against King Edward’s: their recent form has led them to just one loss in their last eight games.
