LONDON AND SOUTHEAST BADMINTON
Posted on: | Category:

Last week, we were the proud hosts of the London & South East Badminton Cup Finals. Our strength in depth in the KS3 Badminton team meant that both our A & B teams had made the final, producing an-all Wilson’s final! Despite valiant efforts from the B team, the A team came out victorious to receive the prestigious trophy.

Both teams have performed to an exceptionally high standard this year, with the one loss in the final being the only time these boys have missed out on winning. The Key Stage 3 A team maintained their 100% record for the season, officially concluding the season unbeaten! The entire squad is a massive credit to the school, these boys work incredibly hard in training sessions and the hard work has paid off!

In the other two finals, Nonsuch High school beat Walthamstow Hall in the KS3 girls’ competition whilst St Helen’s school beat Walthamstow Hall in the KS4 girls’ competition. Congratulations to the winners and all who made the finals, producing some exciting and excellent performances on the day.

We were honoured to play host to Joanne Muggeridge, Commonwealth Games Women’s doubles gold medallist, who presented the medals and trophies to all finalists. Thank you to Kent Badminton for organising the competition throughout the year, we look forward to competing next year and trying to retain our trophy!
