AMAZING TOUR!
Posted on: | Category:

The Iceland trip was an unforgettable experience for everyone who was lucky enough to take part.

It was a tiring but very enjoyable time with friends, and many sights were seen, including majestic waterfalls, volcanoes, lava beaches and also Reykjavik town centre. We all experienced things that we had never done before: swimming in one of the many geothermally heated natural water bodies—the Secret Lagoon, walking on glaciers and chopping ice with ice axes (my favourite part of our time away), as well as sitting in a simulated flight journey over Iceland. There are simply too many things to name! From the first day we landed and experienced a windy two degrees Celsius, driving through the barren yet beautiful land consisting of the remains of volcanic rock—ancient and new —to getting soaked under a 60m high waterfall, crashing down at tremendous velocity, walking on a plate boundary between America and Europe and watching the famous Icelandic geysers explode from the ground, it was an unforgettable and deeply enriching experience.

I am sure all my fellow travellers had just as bracing an experience as I did, and we are all thankful to all the teachers that made such an amazing trip possible.
