Last week’s performances at Southwark Cathedral gave a fantastic foretaste of music-making at Wilson’s this term, but concert season is now well and truly under way, following a superb Year 9 Musicians’ Evening on Thursday night!

Some exceptional performances included Harry’s Bach (Partita No.3) on the violin, Marko’s Villa-Lobos (one of four very strong classical guitar performances), and Edward’s very sensitive Rachmaninov (one of the Moments Musicaux), but there were many other excellent performances.

Next week we look forward to the eagerly awaited Battle of the Bands final, with Year 11 and Sixth Form recitals following soon after half term. Looking further ahead, rehearsals are now well underway for the Winter Concert on Wednesday, 30 November. Tickets will be available soon!
