KS5 NATIONAL SCHOOLS COMPETITION
Posted on: | Category:

Our U18 Squash team played their Stage 2 Plate matches in the KS5 National Schools Squash Competition. The team consisted of U18 regulars, Chris, Tom and Zayaan as well as some younger students from Years 8 and 9: Lakshya and Bharath.

The team put in 100% as always, and were very keen to progress further in the tournament. Every point counts from all players at this stage in the tourament. The squad all played very well and ended up winning every game against the three opposing schools: Marchant Taylor’s, Oratory and Haberdashers. Lakshya and Bharath put in some excellent performances, having to play against opponents who were 4-5 years older.

Unfortunately, due to the scoring system in the tournament, winning all three matches was not quite enough and Wilson’s finished second in the group as they had gained a total of 11 points less than Haberdashers School. The squad are now waiting to find out if they can still qualify as the best-performing runner up!
