CARE HOME VISIT

In the Poetry Together scheme, a group of Year Nine students boarded a minibus to our local care home, Chestnut Gardens, where we shared poems on happiness and spent time engaging with the residents. Poem for Black History Month

This month, students in English have learned about Amanda Gorman, the young black poet and activist who spoke powerfully at Biden’s inauguration, as part of our school-wide celebration of Black History Month.
