Non-fiction November

The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.

Dr Seuss

Non-Fiction November is an annual celebration that was created by the Federation of Children’s Book Groups. Its aim to highlight the joy and value of factual reading. A National Literacy Trust report found that children and young people who read non-fiction were more motivated to read for educational purposes, to satisfy curiosities, to foster social connections and to support their mental wellbeing.

Members of staff from all part of the school have been passing their non-fiction recommendations to our librarian, Mrs Cowell, who has adapted some displays and placed some orders!

She has made an appeal to all members of the school community to have a clear out before Christmas and bring in any books that might be suitable for the School Library.

House Points for all donations!
