There are many great universities and degree courses in the UK, but at this time of year we offer particular congratulations to students who have been offered places to study at Oxford or Cambridge. This year, 45 students have offers, accounting for nearly a quarter of Year 13. As ever, students have been offered places in a wide variety of subjects, including Economics, Geography, Law, English, Natural Sciences and Music.

Mr Lissimore commented:

A successful Oxbridge application requires students to demonstrate a deep and sustained interest in their chosen subject. This typically involves extensive and varied reading, alongside regular practice in articulating complex ideas clearly and confidently.

We continue to devote considerable time and attention to the development of strong reading and speaking — not just with Oxbridge in mind, but because these skills are enriching and empowering for all.
