Following success in the regional competition, Taran (Year 12) has qualified to compete at the National School Rifle Championship Finals on 4 February 2026.

Taking place in Cannock, the event is conducted by British Shooting - the UK's only governing body for the British Olympic Association - who administer high performance squads and talent pathways for athletes in the UK.

'Taran the Cannon' has already won the competition twice beforehand meaning he is now looking to complete an impressive hat-trick of victories on the national stage.
