Wilson's School

The Breath of Kings

Forget, forgive, conclude and be agreed:

Our doctors say this is no time to bleed.

Well done to the company of Richard II which closed on Thursday evening — another exceptional Senior Production at Mollison Drive.

It was pleasing to see so many parents, Old Wilsonians & friends of the school in the audience across the three nights — if you saw the show, share a review!

We turn from kings to Queen for our next production, with ‘We Will Rock You!’ set to transform the JJ Hall at the start of July.

Until then…

Reviews

Mr Straw commented, “The production was exceptional - a commanding lead performance by Richard II epitomised the whole cast’s commitment to clearly communicate one of Shakespeare’s lesser-known plays.”

Jason (Year 7) said, "Putting on one of Shakespeare's plays was certainly a bold move for a student production - the Wilson's senior production crew smashed it!"

Aaron Gillett (Old Wilsonian, Class of 2022) commented, "The wealth of creative talent at Wilson’s School was displayed in full force during this production of Richard II. The acting and stage crews combined turned Shakespeare’s underperformed History into a thriller wrought with depth of emotion and political messaging."
