Wild Matters

The Wilson’s Poetry Foundation is proud to present Wild Matters. This collection brings together original poems by students, which explore the complexity and beauty of the natural world.

The anthology reflects a thoughtful appreciation of nature — its power, fragility and constant change. Rather than simply describing landscapes, our poets consider what nature means: how it shapes memory, identity and responsibility. The result is a mature and perceptive body of work that highlights both creativity and careful craft.

As the foreword states:

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the student poets whose honest words bring Wild Matters to life, to the teachers for their steady guidance and encouragement, to the editorial team for shaping this anthology with care, and to the school leadership for nurturing a space where young voices can be heard.

We would also like to thank Ms Hughes especially, for her crucial and continuous support in the anthology’s creation.

Wild Matters marks an important step for Wilson’s and sets a strong foundation for future publications. The Wilson’s Poetry Foundation looks forward to building on this success and creating more opportunities for young voices to be heard!
