Wilsonian chosen to represent England in Debating
Ethan (Year 13) has been selected to represent England B at the European Debating Championship in Skopje, North Macedonia, from 27 February to 3 March.
Following intensive national trials held on 17-19 December 2025, Ethan progressed to the final six debaters in the country, narrowly missing selection for the five-person A team but securing his place on the England B team.
Mr Powell and Mrs Mortimer, Heads of Debating at Wilson’s, have been instrumental in developing the school’s debating programme and supporting students like Ethan in reaching the highest levels of competition. This selection demonstrates the strength of debating at Wilson’s and serves as an inspiration to all students interested in developing their public speaking and critical thinking skills.
