A great start for the Class of 2033!

School life is now well underway for our new Year 7 pupils, whose first few days at Wilson’s were devoted to induction activities designed to help them settle quickly and confidently into their new surroundings.

These included a Treasure Trail around the school, activities with their tutor groups and exciting activities organised by the Music and Sports departments. Pupils also benefited from practical guidance on some of the routines of everyday school life, such as using their cubby holes, valuables lockers and homework diaries. 

Alongside these preparations, our new pupils have been reminded of the fundamental importance of kindness, consideration and politeness. In particular, they have been encouraged to look out for anyone who may be finding the transition to secondary school difficult. Every pupil has a part to play in ensuring that those around them feel welcomed, valued and included.

We look forward to getting to know our new pupils — and their parents — better over the months ahead, including at the New Year 7 Parents’ Social Evening.
