Wilson's School

Cricket Update #7

Team Reports

Wilson's U15A lost the toss and were asked to field against Sevenoaks School. The Wilson’s bowlers struggled to contain the scoring as Sevenoaks posted a competitive 155-6 from their 20 overs. Olly was the pick of the bowlers with 1-14 from 3 overs, while Sevin also impressed with 1-8 from 2 overs. A costly final over, including 5 wides, helped Sevenoaks add valuable late runs.

In reply, Sevin led the chase superbly with an outstanding 72 from 57 balls, well supported by Vidur’s 20 from 20. At 134-5 Wilson’s looked favourites, but a collapse of 4 wickets for 20 runs swung the game back towards Sevenoaks.

Needing 4 from the final over, Wilson’s could not quite get over the line. After wickets and dot balls increased the pressure, 2 were needed from the final ball, but the batter missed the ball and was run out attempting the winning run, sealing a narrow 1-run victory for Sevenoaks.

Wilson's U14A won the toss and elected to bowl bowling first against Caterham School. On an unpredictable pitch, Wilson’s restricted Caterham to 76 all out in 19.5 overs. Prateek starred with a brilliant 5fer, while Zak took 3-15 from 4 overs. Devam (2-2-0) and Owais (3-4-1) also bowled tightly.

In reply, batting was difficult throughout, but useful contributions across the order kept Wilson’s ahead of the rate. Shon’s 20 off 20 was key as Wilson’s reached 77-5 in 15.1 overs.
