Football update #6

Players of the Week

A big congratulations to this week’s Players of the Week, who each produced outstanding individual performances for their respective teams.

Philip (Year 12) produced an excellent all-round display for the 1st XI. A tireless presence in midfield, he battled for every ball, provided energy and quality throughout the game, and capped his performance with a goal.

Aron (Year 10) takes the honours for the U15A’s after producing a moment of real quality in their National Cup fixture. Showing excellent composure and technique, Aron found the top corner with a perfect finish, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.

Advaith (Year 7) earns a well-deserved mention for his consistently excellent performances for the U12A’s. Week after week, he continues to impress with his quality, commitment and reliability, proving to be a hugely valuable member of the side. Keep up the fantastic work!

Teams of the Week

The 1st XI secured an impressive 4–1 victory over Reigate College, producing a dominant performance from start to finish. Wilson’s combined attacking quality with energy and determination throughout the match, earning a well-deserved win.

The U13A’s made a sensational start to their National Cup campaign, scoring four goals in the opening 10 minutes against Three Rivers. Their blistering start put the game firmly in Wilson’s control and ultimately secured their place in the second round of the competition.

The U14A’s continued their excellent form with another victory, this time against local rivals Trinity. In a competitive fixture, the team showed great determination and composure to come out on top and maintain their impressive run of results.

Meanwhile, the U12A’s produced an excellent performance in the Surrey Cup, defeating Kingston Academy 4 - 1 to book their place in the second round. It was a strong all-round display from the team, who will now look forward to the next stage of the competition.

Well done to all teams on another excellent week of football!
