From Camberwell to Cymru!
On Friday 18 September, four Old Wilsonians from the Class of 2025 became the first ever people to complete the Wilson’s Six House Challenge!
Congratulations to Minhyuk, Ryan, Atharva and Daniel who challenged themselves to visit every location linked to the Wilson's School House System in a single day.
Setting off from the Old Wilsonians' clubhouse in Hayes Hill at 6:30am, the boys first headed over to Southwark Cathedral, and then on to Camberwell. Here, they visited our old school site on 1 Wilson Road, as well as the former sites of Mary Datchelor School and Greencoat School.
The final stop of the challenge involved a train journey from London to Cardiff and then another to Merthyr Tydfil. Finishing with a flourish, the boys decided to complete the challenge by summiting the highest point in the Brecon Beacons - Pen-y-Fan - and achieved this feat in wet and windy conditions at 3:52pm!
As such, the course record now stands at 9 hours and 22 minutes - how long until another team of Old Wilsonians take the crown?
As part of their challenge, the team have kindly committed to raising money for this year's Giving Day campaign, where we are seeking to raise £75,000 to fund a major solar installation at Mollison Drive.
