Happy Half Term
Pupils’ experiences at this time of year vary considerably! While Year 10 pupils enjoyed their last day before half term on the coast at Eastbourne, Year 7 pupils are looking forward to their week in Bannau Brycheiniog (the Brecon Beacons) at the start of June. Year 9 pupils breathe a sigh of relief after their (impeccably conducted) exams week, while older students may still have a fair few GCSE and A level examinations on the horizon.
We are delighted that the shift to summer uniform has finally arrived, and we look forward to the many adventures ahead in the second half of term. These include a great many trips and visits, particularly for Year 8 pupils and Year 12 students, who have a fascinating and varied programme of university preparation experiences ahead of them. Look out, too, for news from an international robotics event and the national chess finals in Nottingham.
Whatever is on pupils’ minds at this time of year, we hope that the sunny weather over half term brings plenty of opportunities for rest, relaxation, and time spent with family and friends in the open air.
