Languages Translation and Spelling Bee

Throughout the Autumn term, all Year 7 and 8 pupils took part in German and French Spelling and Translation Bee competitions during their lessons. From each class, two pupils progressed to represent their house in the school-wide competition.

On Tuesday 30th June and Thursday 2 July, twelve Year 7 pupils competed in the Spelling Bee, where they had one minute to correctly spell as many words as possible in either German or French. Twelve Year 8 pupils took part in the Translation Bee, where they had one minute to correctly translate as many sentences as possible in either German or French.

After some very close and competitive rounds, the winners of the Translation Bee are Ifti 8C (German) and Leo 8S (French) and the winners of the Spelling Bee are Sahil 7D (German) and Rihab 7G (French).
