Last Sunday, a team from Wilson’s covered 15 miles alongside thousands of other enthusiastic walkers, all participating in the Marsden March. Clad in our T-shirts and caps, we assembled at the starting location of The Royal Marsden in Chelsea. Supplying us with refreshments and maps, supportive volunteers welcomed us to the start line. All that was left was a quick photo, and then we were off!

Fortunately, the weather treated us kindly on the day, and there was plenty of chatter among staff and students. Smiley volunteers, constantly cheering us on, kept us going during particularly difficult lengths. We had short breaks to take a needed rest of our legs, and before we knew it, the 15 miles we needed to walk were reduced to just a few metres in front of the finish line.

With over £7,000 raised, the Marsden March was a huge success for Wilson's. Despite the sore legs in the days after, the great memories made and the thought of lives that may be transformed made it all worthwhile. A huge thank you to all who took part, and to everyone who generously sponsored our walkers.
