Wilson's School

Vertical Tutoring

At the end of the Autumn Term, all students in the school took part in the first Vertical Tutor group session of the year.

This brought the pupils together in cross year-group groups allowing them to share opinions on a variety of questions all on the theme of leadership.

They enjoyed the opportunity to be able to interact with every other year group in the school in a small classroom environment, discussing whether leadership skills are natural traits or a craft that can be acquired and honed.

This initiative, which has been a fixture of the school calendar for a number of years, gives the younger pupils an opportunity to converse with and hear the opinions of the older students.

Beyond this, the Sixth Formers are also given a platform to improve their leadership skills as they chair and lead the discussions.
