Wilsonian triumphs in national tennis tournament

Mark (Year 13) added the 18U Junior Nationals title to the 16U title he won in 2024 after an impressive 6-4, 6-1 win over Somerset’s Joshua Craze.

Mark is currently the junior world No.30, and won the title after dropping just one set over the course of the whole tournament. 

Following the win, Mark commented:

"In the first set, he played very well. He was very smart tactically and then in the second set, I changed my game a little bit and played more solid, without going for as many winners. I think that was important. 

 

Now I’m excited to play in qualifying for Wimbledon. I did well a couple of years ago at Wimbledon in the Juniors and I’ve had a lot of practice on grass, so I think that will give me a good advantage playing in qualifying.”
