Year 7 instrumentalists tune up for their inaugural showcase
The Year 7 Programme is a special part of the Wilson’s experience, with every student receiving an instrument in September and free instrumental lessons throughout the academic year. For Wednesday’s rehearsal, students came together in groups based on their allocated instruments, including flutes, clarinets, oboes, bassoons, trumpets, trombones, French horns, percussion and singing.
Almost 50 brass players gathered in the Recital Hall to rehearse Mr Kramer’s exciting arrangement of the blues song Let’s Stick Together.
It was a wonderful way to end the first half term, reflecting the enthusiasm and hard work of our new instrumentalists. Thank you to Mr Kramer and the entire Year 7 Programme instrumental teaching team for their support. We look forward to hearing all our Year 7 musicians perform at their showcases in November!
